Going to the SaMLA convention in Charlotte this November? If so, drop by for my paper on Ted Berrigan. I'll touch briefly on Charlotte's native son John R. Brinkley, who is more commonly known as the "goat-gland doctor." I grew up in Charlotte too, but my local history classes never got around to covering his rejuvenation procedure.
