I am sure you have something to say about "a member of this school." Or maybe you are more inclined towards "creative works in the unique style." Either way here is the call for papers:

The L=A=N=G=U=A=G=E Poets

This call for papers is for a proposed panel to be held at (dis)junctions, the University of California Riverside?s 13th Annual Humanities Graduate Conference on April 7-8, 2006.

Contributors are invited to submit critical works on the 20th cent. American poets known as L=A-N=G=U=A=G=E poets. Papers on any writer considered to be a member of this school are invited, as are pieces exploring any issue or discussion surrounding L=A=N=G=U=A=G=E poetry.

Also encouraged are creative works in the unique style of the L=A=N=G=U=A=G=E poets.

Abstracts of 250 words should be e-mailed to hmlovejoy_at_yahoo.com by February 1, 2006 (text in the body of the message; please no attachments).

where is riverside? just a single panel? that's nuts. where is the language poetry conference?
on musculature, what's your take on richard simmons?

Riverside is south and a bit inland from LA. Not so far from north county San Diego-L

hm. okay, i admit all i'm really interested in is how close it is to you, lorraine. ;-) i don't know if i have anything to say about any language poets. the CFP is kind of general. kap, if you submitted a proposal for this, what would it be on? email me, maybe we can gang up.

I am not sure what to make of Richard Simmons. He is kind of like pop art.

I'll have to see Riverside some other time. It's a grad conference, and anyway I am stuck on something else for the time being. Try T.O. maybe?

oh, it's a grad conference? i'm a grad. what's with you and the chickens lately? i can't think of anything languagey i want to write about. the only language poet who really interests me is susan and that's because she's not "really" a language poet. oh well, i'm sure there will be a lot of competition for the panel. i'm not big on grad student conferences.
