Saw the Kimbell Art Museum and the Modern Art Museum of Ft. Worth. The Modern, in a new building by "autodidactic architect" Tadao Ando, has stairways dead-ending at walls, as if to convey the resistance of art to functionality. Going a brisk pace with an octogenarian docent, we took in an exhibition of photorealist Robert Bechtle's paintings from early 60s to the present.
