48hrs in SC

________________
Thursday right before hitting the sack my sister called and convinced me to check last-minute deals to Florence or any of the surrounding airports. Dad was getting back from Shanghai the next day and Grandpa was also coming down for the weekend. Sure enough there was one super cheap ticket, and so less than twelve hours later I was in the air. In my short time there we didn't do much except eat, relax, and catch up. (Florence ain't exactly full of distractions.) The gazebo was finished, so we spent much time sitting in the Adirondack chairs. The return trip through Charlotte was delayed over an hour, making it feel like the longest I'd spent there since moving away at eighteen.

Read on the trip:
-Bhanu Kapil Rider, The Vertical Interrogation of Strangers
-Ken Bruen, Rilke in Black (recommended by Light Reading)
-Bob Perelman, Captive Audience (reread for a project)
-Andrea Camilleri, Excursion to Tindari (best Montalbo mystery since The Terra-Cotta Dog)
