...I think Our traffic signal's remarkable In the air, 2 wires & 2 streets Cross exactly there. I cross On green, the snow, making tracks To a white beach... $10 for 347 pages of 1972 goodness. I just bought a used copy of Tom Clark's yellowing over-sized anthology, All Stars (Goliard, 1972). The party includes Coolidge, Dorn, Berrigan, Padgett, Whalen, Schuyler, Creeley, and more. I sought a copy because of the one work by the one woman in the anthology: Alice Notley's "165 Meeting House Lane" - a sequence of 24 sonnets in extra musical style. The poem has never been republished so far as I know. |
