My favorite line from Lisa's reading Sunday came from the novel she is completing, Promise X: "I used to stalk my mother when I was a little kid, which is how I got to be good at it, and I used to stalk Anton, and I used to stalk Glenn, and I used to stalk a lot of other people, which is how I got to be good at doing research, since I had subjects that I loved..." To me, this image of stalking is up there with Susan Howe on library cormorants.
