Due to schedule conflicts I won't be playing ultimate again until the spring season. The league, though, plans to hold its first ever indoor season this winter. Here in this FAQ the commissioners offer a bit of advice:

Q. Indoor Ultimate seems very dangerous. How do I layout?
A. Please exercise good judgment when playing ultimate indoors so as to prevent avoidable injuries. Kneepads are recommended, and some regular ultimate moves will be difficult to do safely.

Yes, we need winter to heal.

Or as Ted Berrigan says:

"In the Winter, switch to heroin, so you won't catch pneumonia. / In the Spring, go back to speed."
