To some extent gentrification means the least assimilated cuisines can now be found in those suburbs where the cost of living is more feasible for new immigrants. This is what brought me to Rockville on Saturday night to eat dinner at a place called Bob's Noodle. The name makes it sound a lot like the "Chinese #1 Restaurant" where I used to eat on a weekly basis in grad school. Bob, however, is on a whole 'nother level. I did not order the fried duck tongues, the frog casserole, the simmering intestines, the pig blood in rice, or several other items that I wanted to try. I did eat about everything else on the menu, though.
